Default Soundboard recordings ?

hi,
I'm new to this board, I've read a few pages, but couldn't find any soundboard recording.

Would somebody be kind enough to point me in the right direction ?
Thank you very much !

To the best of my knowledge there are no soundboard recordings - the closest that you will get are the radio broadcasts from sources such as KCRW http://www.kcrw.com/music/programs/mb / Fabchannel http://www.fabchannel.com/damien_rice/ VPRO http://3voor12.vpro.nl/artiesten/artiest/11391468etc or rips from dvd's of television shows etc.

There are no soundboard recordings in circulation. The only sbds known to exist are in the band's own possession.

Keep trying and refreshing until you get in. It only took me 30seconds but can go on for a lot longer.

Just keep refreshing samson

if damien's crew does have soundboard recordings i wish someone would share

The pixies kinda do it, you but a voucher at the gig and then go to a website and enter the voucher deatils and they'll send out the recording. It's mad expensive though.

I've made inquiries, and it pretty clearly will never happen. Besides, way back in '03 Damien told me he hated sbds. Though, they are playing larger venues now.... I gotta convince Jonathon to start running audience mics.

I have their Lansdowne Road show from 2005 in the official format and it was about €25, but it was definitely worth the money. It's just so well mixed and mastered. It has the charm of an audience recording with the clarity of a soundboard one. The artwork on the cd's is quite good too.

I was under the impression they were clearing stock of those shows though, hasn't the price gone down?

pearl jam does something along those lines. though its is mp3 now i think. you can download em like a couple hours after the show. personally i miss how they used to do it....actual live soundboard recording releases of every show from the tour. they did that for a few yrs. tons of shows, perfect soundboard. some people said, ah the money grubbers....but they specifically said, buy 1 or 2 and trade for the rest. i dont believe they were copyrighted or something to make it legal to do so. i bought a few shows and within months had scores of wonderful sounding shows.

Pearl Jam actually offers both flac and mp3 now. The flac shows cost a few bucks more since they require more bandwidth. I believe that their "policy" is to sell the concerts during that concert tour, after that they are fair game for trading. They also open the vault and release old concerts from time to time, and they distributed their newest studio album to those who preordered from the 10 Club for free (drm free also) through the bootleg service. Best part, all the concerts are soundboards.

There's rumous Tori Amos will also do it, people are saying 10 dollars for the mp3 and 12 dollars for the FLACs... not that expensive, unless you want them all...

10 bucks x 100 concerts she's gonna do = $ 1,000!!! = too much money

thats not too bad.. plus you can always trade for the others like jason said. not that i would need 100 shows, but a couple of nice soundboard recordings would be cool. i think it would behoove a band that there is such a demand for live recordings to try a venture like this at least once..

*hint hint*

I actually did rip those concerts (both the FabChannel Paradiso gig, and the London Calling festival from VPRO), but whenever I offer to share the mp3's people around here look at me with a frown. It's still circulating, you should probably find it around somewhere.

Joseph Arthur does it too. We got one from his gig at the Georgian in Stockton. It was £10 for two CDs. And you can buy them later on his website. The only annoyance was that he had to stop the gig halfway through to change CDs. But he was doing a pretty little painting so no one really minded much. His paintings are near enough $1000 each anyway haha!

contrary to what many people are saying, there are a few soundboard recordings available. see the officially released "live at the union chapel" and an ep of 4 songs released from his 2004 bonnaroo performace.

That is not a soundboard recording. Those are professionally released, and have been through post-production.
