Woah. That's a great idea! I'm in! I've got an extra harddrive that I was *this close* to getting rid that'll be perfect for this.

Okay. It really should be pretty easy to actually do. I think most externals are very easy plug and play, but if there's something complicated make sure you include a disc with drivers or something. I don't see any reason to even bother making a tree or anything.

We could do this tomorrow, but I assume everyone would prefer to wait until Richard and I get our respective catalogs synchronized, right?

And for everyone else, what I'll do is send hard drives back out with .tor files on them, and then the group of however many of us can all seed some of this new stuff.

Thanks for taking the initiative on this, Mario.

I think it would be best to wait until you and Richard do your thing. No reason to go through all of this again in a couple of years.

In the meantime, if anyone is impatient, I'm seeding 11 or 12 DR torrents between Dime, Tapecity and etree at the moment.

I'll edit the first post if you tell me any of the gigs you're seeding aren't in there already.

I'm not going to put any pressure on Richard by estimating time. But I'll tell you we've been talking and I am going to send him a hard drive to put everything on, then send back to me.

Hi folks. Been a while since I was on here. Got the heads-up on this thread from netheredgeman. Fantastic project. Old time damien collector here. I think it's fair to say damien is a huge reason I started taping myself. I've recorded him a handful of times since, and all but the most recent are in circulation. I promise I'll get the remaining show out there asap!

Apart from that, I *think* more or less all my damo recordings are already on the lists, above. Although like richard I too have a daunting task of sifting through 100's of cd/dvds... augh! Will absolutely do my best to ensure as many rarities surface!

peace,
stephen

yes, there's more info in the .txt file

Quote:
Damien Rice Full Band is:
Damien Rice - guitar & vocals
Lisa Hannigan - vocals
Vyvienne Long - cello
Shane Fitzsimons - bass guitar
Tomo - drums, percussion

Notes: Damien came out solo unplugged and without a mic for the first
3/4 of "The Professor" to start the gig. This is very evident in the
recording but I tried to compensate for it a little bit. Also, volume
levels were the most extreme (both quiet and loud) I have ever dealt with
so I had to do a lot of adjusting in Soundforge. If the volume seems a bit
off at times (mostly during crowd noise), sorry about that. Lastly, the PA
had minor issues so brief amounts of static (briefly in "Volcano") are a
result of that. To find out more about Damien Rice please visit
www.damienrice.com and pick up a copy of the new album "O" in stores now
Never pay for or sell live recordings.

Compiled on 06.04.03

but it does say "Jeff Buclkey cover"

Just wanted to add my affirmation that the idea with the hard drives is tremendous. Looking forward to it once everything can get pulled together.
