Anyone knows whatDamo means by "I got a ribbon of green on my guitar" in Cheers darlin'?

i dont know, but i know guitarists hang things from their guitars like ribons and things, my friend has feathers hanging from his guitar, i cant see any signifigance in it, althogh green is ansymbol of ireland,

Maybe it means that he is jealous? The color green sometimes means envy. I don't know just a thought.

i would go with stuffette on this one too. didnt Damien himself say that Cheers Darlin was about jealousy? or.. wasthat Prague? :s either way, that seems to make the most sense.

now that i think of it yeah green with envy, ia he sings cheers darling in the song i think theres a feeling of sarcism, and when he sings 'i die when you mention his name' sounds very like system of a down, chop suey, 'icried when angels deserve to die, but only a little bit

yes you are too. i know a bunch of peoplethatplay in bands and the guitarists usuallyhang all sorts of things (junk..lol) from their guitars. a friend told me that its to"distinguish" themselves from all the other college bands. ionno how true that is with everyone,but that was his reason.
