Default Greet Fans

I know a lot of artist that greet fans either before or after their shows, and others who do not. I was curious to know if Damien is generally accessible to talk to fans either before or after his shows. And if he does, where does one usually find him? I don't want to come off as stalker-ish, but some bands like for fans to wait in the parking lot by the tour buses while others come right out to the front of the venues. If not Damien, how about other memebers of the band? What has been other people's experiences?

They aren't into the fame, so don't look for their fans, but if they see you they will stop and chat. They're all very approachable and friendly.

Possibly Lisa/Tomo/Vyv moreso than Damien at times. Catch him on a good day and he's very friendly, other nights you get the impression that he'd rather be left alone.

Just like a normal person.

Both times I met him it was after the show. The first time he just walked right out of the front door and basically just said "hi!", the second time was at an afterparty. Both times he was as accessable as anyone could ever ask. We chatted about all kinds of stuff and he never seemed to be in a hurry to go anywhere. It was like just hanging out with one of your buddies. The second time I also met everyone else in the band for the first time and they were all lovely, fun company who never acted like there was a barrier between famous and fan or stranger and friend. Felt as welcomed like an old companion.

I made a post before about meeting and talking with the band after the Hiro show. I was incredibly nervous at the beginning. So much that I couldn't even approach them at the beginning, my friend had to for me. Once I got the courage up to talk to them, they couldn't have been any nicer. Not once did I feel like I was bothering them. In fact, they seemed genuinely interested in talking to me and learning about me.

Oh, and Lisa kissed me on the cheek!!!!!

I want to meet Damo at the end of the Beacon show. It is my main objective.
I hope I can, I really do.

It can happen....

I was very fortunate to meet the entire band after the May 3, 2004 Beacon show. We went to a pub after the gig for a few drinks, and as we were walking back to our car, saw that the tour bus was still parked outside the venue. We decided to wait for a bit, and within 15 minutes or so were rewarded. It was a rainy night, but they were all very gracious and chatted with us, my husband held an umbrella over Lisa's head for a good 20 minutes, and carried Vyv's cello onto the bus for her. Damo was last to come out, I'd guess it was about 75 minutes after the gig had ended.

That's about right. He doesn't come out right away but if you wait patiently the elusive Damo will emerge from his hiding place.

But...Crikey, look out! If he sees his shadow then that means there'll be 3 more months of winter.

I'm edumacated real purty like.
