AWESOME. It was awesome.

The whole show was great despite the fact that it was stupidly late at night...only drawbacks were 1. Maybe it was the lateness of the show or the fact that it followed Lollapalooza, but people were LOUD and VERY talkative. We were standing directly next to (like, touching) the stage and still during some of the quiet songs were like...really? We can barely hear.

2. New violin guy!!! I don't know his name but he did a really good job. Colm wasn't with them and I talked with him on twitter before the show and got the impression that he wouldn't be doing any gigs with Glen for the foreseeable future (my words, based on what he said) but the new guy is doing pretty great. He's definitely not Colm (yet) but he's doing a good job of filling some pretty big shoes. I was more sad about not seeing Colm than I was at the new guy's playing. I just wish I caught his name!

It was great though, they played an odd mix of stuff new and old (was my first time hearing Headlong live, to my knowledge, and wowowowowow) and the whole thing was pretty tops.

(Possibly better review later when I am less sleepy, but if anyone has any questions, ask away.)

Bummed I missed him. First time I haven't seen him when he came through Chicago or Milwaukee. Damn wedding!

More bummed about Colm. Can you post pics of your tweets? Guess The Frames aren't gonna make that new album that Glen has always promised. He really does model himself after Van.
