To accomodate an appearance on Later with Jools Holland, the dates for Lisa's shows in Brighton and Bristol have been postponed until July. The Bristol date at Fleece is now on July 14, and the Brighton date at Komedia is now on July 15.

All tickets sold for the original May dates will be honoured for the July shows. If you bought tickets for either of these shows through the LisaHannigan.ie presale and can't make the new dates, please contact us at help@LisaHannigan.ie.

We'll have more news on the Later appearance closer to the air date.

new blog from tomo. the tour has officially begun:

Quote:
Tomo's Phlog #16 UK Tour
28th April 2009

The Luck Of The Donkeys

Day one of our Spring UK run finds us ready, rested and raring to go. We traveled from Belfast to Scotland and found that forgoing the usual stresses involved with airport check-in versus the relative ease of the ferry was one of the best moves we've made. Bravo Una.

Once on Scottish shores our drive up the coast allowed us fine views and a perfect sunset. Unfortunately, as I was driving, I didn't get any photos of either. Never the less, it was a fine and relaxed start to the tour and I think we all agree now that flying is truly for the birds.

Waiting for the ferry.

Note Benjamin Braddock in at the top left corner.

The gang on the ferry.

It's the usual suspects plus Mike, who has returned to do our sound.

Additionally, you'll soon meet our new backline man, Johnny.

That's the back of his head bottom right.

Richie Egan (aka Jape) is doing support for us on this run.

Here, Lisa and he debate the local traffic near Turnberry.

And decide to make a run for it.

Just before the sun went down several ears caught my eye.

No, I didn't get any shots of the breathtaking scenery or the sunset but I did stop the van for these guys.

I think it's an excellent omen to meet a group of donkeys on our first day.

I saw Lisa in Manchester on Sunday, absolutely amazing stuff, her voice and the band both! I didn't think she'd be that much better than even i'd remembered. Great cover of Lady Is A Tramp! :-)

Richie well worth checking out, enjoyed his set too!

Oh, and a review:

Default London's Shepherds Bush Empire 13.05.09

Anyone at the gig last night? Great set, very easy-going. The band playd to a full house and everyone was loving it - standing ovation at the end (entirely seated gig). The band are certainly becoming a lot more polished and Lisa is really starting to shine as the frontwoman, she was a lot more engaging than when I saw her this time last year, there's obviously alot more confidence in both herself and her collection of songs. Setlist was same as the Sheffield gig posted above (although different order) apart from ommission of Queen of Hearts and i think, the inclusion of another track.

And it was really something for her to play two covers as her encore and bring the house down!

She didn't mention anything about Playground Love, but is it a cover?

Only heard the end of Jape, he was pretty good, but didn't seem to get much audience attention.
