Finally some news (sort of)
From damien's Myspace blog:
"Update Damien is currently working on various recording projects. more news later..." Yeah, ok. When is "later"? Discuss.

We shouldn't mock this news, or complain about it!
This is the most concrete, open, definitive news update we have possibly ever recieved. |

you never know with damien. it could be tomorrow, it could be next year. at least there has been an official statement that something new is coming. seems like they've been preparing it for a while now with the re-launching of the webshop, myspace, youtube etc. i just hope that one of those projects is a new album, and not just a song here and there on a compilation record.

Well, at least it's "later" and not the incredibly obnoxious "soon".
Wasn't Damo working (with Joel?) on a record for the environment or something like that? I get the feeling that this might finally be it.

^Yes, and a song for Amnesty International too!!! I'm thinking this could come first cos it might have a deadline I imagine... if you agree to provide a song for them, you cannot give it to them in 2019!!!

^^ He's been working on that one for quite a while because he mentioned it to a group of us in Montreal in '07
But one "update" is better than no update, I suppose? |

Thanks you Ramalana, first time I read about Damien working with this French actress. Not sure if I get it right... it's a project that includes this Thomas Dybdahl, the French Actress and Damien, and Damien does music, the girl does the lyrics... and altogether it's an album of duets???????????? I'm confused ????

What does Thomas Dybdahl do then? Maybe Damien is only contributing with some songs, as is Dybdahl?
Although a collab tween Dybdahl and Damien would be DEVINE!

Okay... NOW I'm getting excited. Damien and Dybdahl on one record would really be amazing.

I know right?
I've been a Dybdahl fan since he did work with Morcheeba on their Dive Deep album. Morcheeba pretty much come from my home town, so it's cool. XD Can't wait! Nice to finally have something to look forward to for its release in 2014.

Could someone try to translate the interesting bit of the interview with the French chick???? I get she's a sort of multi-artist but cannot figure out if she's working with Damien on this duets project with other people like the Thomaz person (ala Cake sale) or songs for HER album... The bit about the cabin in Woodstock lost me...
