coop- is that like an overseas education thing? Hey, how many people in Ireland actually speak Gaelic. Is it important to know if you go there?

okay...I am a melting pot of languages. You name it, I probably know serveral words from it. I looked up gailge and they did not have pronounciations so I was a little confused.

Its so useful over here...I wouldn't be totally fluent or anything, but I could get the point across.

...got caught out one day on the T tho!!
Me and my friend were just saying how nice looking this girl on the train was (using Irish)...next minute she tuned around and said "Go raibh maith agat!" (meaning thank you) -----> !!!!
She didn't look Irish!!

Alan (therescueblues) helped me get mine. I had to give him my password so he could go in and do it for me since I am freakin dunce when it comes to computers. After that, he changed my signature and it stayed like that for two weeks...bottomline, try and do it yourself. You have to find your picture. Copy, remember the exact address above, go to your profile and insert address in the bar provided and hopefully your picture comes up...ask Alan if you get messed up.

well if you find a picture you like somewhere online, right-click on it and select properties. you can then copy the address/URL and just paste that into the section in your profile. hopefully that will work for you

you can also upload a picture from your computer if you have one. just go into your profile and click on the "browse" button in the avatar section. it will allow you to search your computer. be advised, though, that it does change the size down to 64x64 pixels. so if it's not a square already, it's going to get warped.

I am assuming NY is a big spot for Irish people. I notice a lot of you have been there. That or Boston.
