Totally different stuff musically, but yeah- still one of the best gigs I've been to atmosphere wise and all. Mind you whenever I go to a really good gig I think it's the best gig ever. Can't stop thinking about the "ooh la la la la" audience participation thing.

I guess my sense of relativity is slightly more evolved then...

Radiohead ending their gig with Karma Police and when they're done, Thom comes back on stage and sings a few lines a capella and 80000 people sing along with him.. "foooor a miiiinute theeeere... I lost myself, I lost myseeeeeelf"!!

See my point?

Yeah I see your point, but I wasn't at that Radiohead gig so it can't be one of my top gigs. And last night was up there with *my* faves so there.

Hmmm... well I have a hard time choosing the best. Like I said if it's good then it often seems like the best to me at that time anyway.

Some that stand out: Damien (obviously!) Coldplay at the Heineken Music Hall, Oasis at Brabanthallen, Gomez at Paradiso and at Tivoli, Orbital at Paradiso, Nightmares on Wax at the Melkweg, The Who at Folsom Stadium (Boulder, Colorado) (my first concert), and loads more that I can't think of now. Memory's not working too well today

Nope. Did you?

I've seen them 4 times already (might be 5). Thought about going but just didn't - no reason really. They're always good. Ben's gota great voice.

No, I didn't. I wasn't sure about going... I love Bring It On but the rest of their albums aren't half as good imho. I went to see The Veils on Friday instead. Oh and Incubus on Sunday!

Oh yeah, duh - you told me about those gigs already. I'd forgotten about Gomez being last week anyway since I'd decided not to go. Bring It On's definitely my favourite. I like Liquid Skin and In Our Gun a lot toobut they're not as consistently good as Bring It On, by which I mean they have a few songs I don't really like.

Oh. Oh well, no problem! Glad you had a great gig. A Girl Called Eddy opened for Tom last fall or winter, too, and she hads the same problem there with people talking through her set.
