he was so good....

kathleen edwards was support and she was good but a tad depressing.."claiming" josh wrote a song bout her..which one cud it b?!

then josh himself came on..he played a new one first , then bright
smiles, mayb another new one, man burning, me and jiggs, harrisburg..a
song bout gerorge bush which was funny("think i gonna go to mexico..for
another 4 years or so..")..another one "oh canada wont ya please take
over idaho?!"..golden age of radio, tryin hard to love ya, kathleen,
that ray charles song i always forget the name of, wings with all the
lights turned off, snow is gone..somwhere in the middle of that he was
joined onstage by glen hansard!! they did come and find me but kept
laughin... anyway josh went off, came back on and play girl in the war
(i love that song i'd heard it before..), was joined onstage by katleen
edwars for another song (he gave her a rose..i wish i was as smooth as
josh) and finished with larwence ks off mike which was brilliant (wood nay eskimos think it unmanly if they knew i cried?!)..and then he was gone..

he seemed so nice..really funny and all..tellin stories bout starch and
tattoed girls that didnt always link in but still rocked..and
constatntly tellin the lighting dude to cchange this or that and gettin
people to do mexican screams for flowers and talkin wit the crowd..

best gig ever

he is a great storyteller, he told us stories about singing in a prison
(do i smell a faint whiff of johnny cash?) and we were mocking limerick
people all night, it was great! he'd better come back soon, i'd love to
see him again (i didn't see him when he played cork...i really
should've...)
