PEOPLE - The Film - Saturday 25th July
Priscilla Telmon and Mathieu ‘Vincent Moon’ Saura come to town and bring a bag full of films,
the most prominent: PEOPLE, a 80min musical documentary made during the creation of the PEOPLE FESTIVAL 2018.
Moon journeyed through the weeklong residency with his camera in hand,
and unlimited access to the making off of this artist collaboration -
from Leslie Feist to Damien Rice,
from Efterklang to Shara Nova, from the Dessners (The National) to Justin Vernon (Bon Iver),
from Erlend Øye (Kings of Convenience) to Zach Condon (Beirut), from Woodkid to Henning May (Annenmaykantereit),
a behind the scenes document of a unique kind.

The film will be screened on Saturday evening for the first time.
We will invite all Berlin based festival participants, volunteer and artists in town.
We will surround the film with talks, special musical guests and remember what we have discovered,
to possibly connect again to that unicorn spirit of this moment in time, to help us move the times ahead.

It was last week,
thanks a lot to the Michelberger Team !
I decided "last minute" to go there to watch the Screening.
So i had to drive 9 hours...
But it worth it.

Thank you to Vincent Moon, with his personnal way of filming.
Thanks to Nadine and Tom from Michelberger hotel.
and a big thanks to Inga who could find a last minute ticket for me for the Screening !

Yes Eva, it was really cool !

It's not easy to report about it...
Only 80min.
A lot of moments, short extracts of behind the scene.
Part of the process of creation.
I think it's easier when you were there, at the Festival...
Of course we had some live performance on stage,
but in most of videos, People were working together,
creating, playing with a lot of artists.
Some moments were a bit disturbing for me,
and other moments very moving !

Sorry i'm not very good by reporting.

Dear friends, guests, festival people,

This upcoming weekend, we are excited to share with you: PEOPLE – The Film!
Vincent Moon’s journey through our magical PEOPLE Festival 2018. These moments out of time, in between spaces, the ritual, the coming together of 200 musicians to create and share to an audience of 5000 people.

… all of these communal experiences that we cherish. To help us get through this winter, to remember how great it feels to be close, to sing loud, to cry together, to dance… to joyfully discover what waits behind the next door.

For those who experienced this memorable week, those of you who have heard of it and for those who are curious.

We did not want to wait any longer to share the footage and the music. What better time to remember and dream of a future to come.

Register here to get access to stream the film to your home. Registration is open as of now. On Friday morning everyone will receive an access code, that will stream the film starting Friday 10pm to Sunday 10pm, Central European Time.

Watched it. Happy memories and so many remarkable moments. Justin Vernon‘s Heavenly Father, Damien‘s Astronaut performances, the women‘s choir‘s Santa Agetha, Feist & the Kings of Convenience... Beautifully filmed, including excellent sound.

I watched it yesterday. I enjoyed some of the performances but to be honest most of the others aren't my cup of tea.
Still, very grateful to be able to stream it for free
