Default Damien's instrumental piano song "Holy Water"

So, Marti and I were doing a bit of investigative work this morning and found this movie called "Every Secret Thing" by director Amy Berg (you might know her from her recent documentary "Janis" about Janis Joplin).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Every_...ing_%28film%29

Looks like Damien composed an instrumental piece for one of the final scenes of the movie.

It is listed as "Holy Water" in the credits... "written and performed by Damien Rice".

I did rip the track off the movie, if you guys want to hear it. Just pm me - as I'm not sure I can share the link pubicly on here.
Having ripped it from the movie, there is people talking and an annoying baby crying all over the song. Anyway, a nice piece of music from our Damien, and who knows, maybe a proper recording will surface at some point

I was thinking about that too, they all must be friends or there must be a common friend in there somewhere

Amy Berg is a recognized documentalist who forged his career denouncing abuses related to the churches. I think there is where born the friendship and admiration between her and Damien; a common point.

Here more info about his credit in the movie:

but still amazed we found out about this by pure chance and there was no press release or even talk about this... should be some kind of news that Damien Rice makes an instrumental piano song for a movie

I think it was a kind of "low profile" movie and even Damien's song must have been done in a rushed way, I think. It didn't even have a title until the post-production of the album... Plus, I think Damien himself doesn't consider it "a proper song"

Thanks for the tip, dear Neo. I think you're right, that must be the link between the director and Damo.

But the following people are all way better known than Berg (NH is, in fact, one of my all-time favorite female filmmakers)! This one really seemed to disappear almost immediately after its Tribeca debut just due to very bad reviews.

Written by Nicole Holofcener,[2] based on a 2004 novel of the same name written by Laura Lippman.[3] The film stars Diane Lane, Elizabeth Banks, Dakota Fanning, Danielle Macdonald, and Nate Parker, and is notable for being Academy Award-winning actress Frances McDormand's debut as producer. The film was released theatrically on May 15, 2015 and on home video on August 4, 2015.
