funny how he's using his electric guitar to play this acoustic... never seen him do that. none the less it's still amazing unplugged, i just don't enjoy it as much when people sing along. still great tho.

He broke a string on his acoustic at the end of woman like a man, just before cannonball. So he had to use his electric just while a roadie changed the string.

ok guys...u read the great reviews so i can't add much but that this Cradiff show WAS THE BEST LIVE GIG OF MY LIFE.

NOTHING COMPARES TO IT AT ALL.NO OTHER DAMIEN GIG AND I NEVER THOUGHT I WUD SAY THIS BUT NO OTHER GIGS.

For me hearing 'You shouldn't be here' was the most precious moment of the night along with the special jams before Volcano and after Me, My Yoke and I, and of course having a chat with the man himself.

He was very wrecked but seemed very happy to return home.

I taped 3 of Vyv's songs.Full length videos. There is a new song among them I think called 'Happy Thoughts' (if it is not new pliz let me know, but i haven't heard it yet).

I don't tape Damien cos i know he hates it.

They will be on youtube tonight along with some videos from the Pirate gig i promised ages ago but didn't have a chance to put them up yet...

will post the links in Vyv's and Lisa's sections

He got applause for her and Tomo, and later dedicated What This Night Is For to them and the rest of the band, saying that it was a song about a being in a certain time and place with a group of friends, and recognising that there would never be another moment quite like it!
I feel that this happening shows that Damien was apprehensive about talking about Lisa, although he really wanted to. It's maybe been that he's been trying to spit out what happened since Germany but he just hasn't found the right words in other gigs, but this was his last chance to do so for a while so he had to do it in Cardiff

Me neither!!! I didn't even attempt to record anything, cos my phone is rubbish for audio stuff and my digital camera was too full! I think I'd die of happiness if a proper recording of it all turned up!!

Cardiff is a great city, I agree!! It's full of life and things to do, but it's still quite small and not too...city-ish if you know what I mean!

I know it's a bit late for adding reviews, and other people have already done a great job of summing up the evening...Damien and the band really did pull out all the stops, I'm so glad I got the chance to see the last gig of the tour and hear some new songs, what a treat!
