this made me chuckle.. so 14,000 is platinum in ireland? i think you need to crack a million to get a platinum record here.. i'm not surprised really, lisa has a built in following from her work with damien. it shouldn't be too hard for her to make a nice living off her music.

i finally had a chance to listen to sea sew, and i can't say as i really liked it. it's sort of sing-songy in a nursery rhyme kind of way, or at least that's how it hit me. lisa should record a children's album (and i'm not being facetious) i think it would be lovely for little ones.

15,000 for platinum.

Population of the USA is 301,000,000 compared to 4,100,000 here. If my maths are correct then you have to sell a comparitive number of albums per capita to achieve platinum status. Marginally tougher here in fact.

Far more difficult to get there in the UK when you have to sell 300,000 to 60 million people.
