I rather like when performers insult their audience - all in good spirit of course. Saw wilco the other day, and Tweedy was a f*cker too - although he did say we were a great audience and usually he hates audiences... Of course you'd have to have a certain fan base to do that. If I insulted my audience, even jokingly, I'd quickly lose the whole crowd, if you could even call it a crowd.. But one day, one fine day I'm gonna be so rude and people are just gonna laugh it off cause they love me and my music....

Hehe ok maybe not

It's was actually amazing to see in such good humor, just being himself. I'm even more in love with his work.I will go anywhere to see him and hear his jokes,as long as I can afford it hehe

No ,they were quite the same, but at the first session he did more newies. I think he had to do them at every session so everyone could get to hear them and as he said himself " it was training"...lovely!

I love it here! Wish I had checked out the forums before the show. I feel an automatic kinship with anyone else who loves Damien's music as much as me!

got a flash : reminds me of the long gone tv sitcom Friends where phoebe is singing songs to kids at the kindergarten about killing cows and making hamburgers, grandma being dead...

Oh the cow in the meadow goes moo, oh the cow in the meadow goes moo...then a farmer hits him on the head and that's how we get hamburgers! Everybody! i saw an interview and lisa (KUDROW) said its her favorite "performance" on the show. sorry. off topic.

Anyway, based on the video, the kids seem to like canonball, it does have nice rhythm to it so... imagine if he played me, my yoke and i...hahaha, actually, you know what...well, nevermind! hahaha

There's a recording here of the Sundlaugin session (Sigur Rós' recording studio) - it's been broadcast and streamed on Rokkland, on Icelandic radio RAS2, and the Damo section is about an hour long...

http://dagskra.ruv.is/ras2/4500296/2009/11/08/

It starts at 22:19 minutes and goes on 'til 1:22:00 (right-click the player and zoom to full screen for the counter). There's lots of Damien's banter between songs, and also some commentary in Icelandic. Unfortunately, none of the new songs are broadcast, for obvious reasons I guess, but they did broadcast the following songs from the session:-

27:30 - 32:10 Delicate
38:26 - 43:45 The Professor & La Fille Danse
1:00:19 - 1:04:25 Cannonball
1:07:41 - 1:11:58 Cheers Darlin' (edit: missed copying this down first time - thanks camouflage)
1:17:00 - 1:21:30 Amie

Oh, and hello, by the way.

thanks for the link.
I couldn't get the counter thing to work for exact times but cheers darlin' is in there as well. It is between Cannonball and Amie.

btw, anyone know how to rip this audio?
I tried using a firefox plug in and no luck...

When he's talking about countries and paintings, is it an introduction to a new song? They cut it off right after he told the story...

Yes but now that I think about it, it wouldn't make much sense... It'd be easier to record in LA so I guess the producer he's working with now must be someone else...

oh and thanks for the mp3's!
