Default The Greatest Bastard Digital Single

You can get it through iTunes midnight local time.

Doesn't say when pre-orders will receive it, but I'm assuming soon.

It's already up on a private Soundcloud link: https://soundcloud.com/damienrice/th...astard/s-dbet7 courtesy of the e-mail that just went out.

I really love this song! Sounds wonderful. Does anyone have an idea of when the Vinyl is getting shipped out?

Oh god, I think my 9 syndrome is playing up a bit. I'm so used to the live version of this song...

for me too, but it is not too far from the live version I think... only the end where the instruments kick in is different.
I think we'll sense a bigger difference on The Box... Bastard sounds to me more like a natural evolution from the live version...

My guess is that the album version of The Box will probably most resemble the version that was played during Iceland Airwaves. At least, I hope so, cause that was awesome.

I love it so much! Very rare that I like a recording as much as a live performance, but this one works for me! It's beautiful in its sparseness, except for the "Some make it..." parts

Wow amazing so pure so beautiful so fragile, his voice sounds incredibile, the acoustic guitar toO, and the I know You Do part got me goosebumps, i'd say the tempo is slower relative to the live version

Goosebumps. Such a raw, vulnerable version. Lovely

The whispery vocals here really remind of the songs on O, thought it was gonna be a bit more of a belter, but really pleasantly surprised. Voice like a pane of glass, so fragile and reflective!

I cannot believe the album will be out in just a couple of days.

Do you guys think those of us stateside will be getting the digital release on the international release date? Or do you think they'll make us sweat it out until the US release date?

Incredible. His voice sounds so vulnerable and perfect at the same time. It's like he's singing right next to you, it's gut wrenching.
And the illustration is sad but so beautiful...

I absolutely love it. No sign of 'overproduction' whatsoever, like some people thought of MFFF for example.

Btw, I only just noticed that there's a link to EF in the bottom of the mail. How did I never notice that before? :P
