Please don't get me wrong-- I am a Rice fan

However whats up with the t.v. airings on nightly drama shows how can this possibly be part of his thing-

how can this not sterilize his music?

very disappointingEdited by: rush

It's not under Damien's control. If a producer likes his music they can use it. The truth is, there is a lot of great music on US TV these days - all thanks to people who like good music.

That's the way the wheel [no pun intended!] turns these days.

Two days ago, I saw a fine german TV film about teenagers (shot in 2003, director: Susanne Schneider) . Sadly I forgot the title.

Beside the normal score there where loads of "alternative, modernmusic" in it, like Coldplay or The Strokes. And it fit so well.

The point is: as Sophias melancholy song "Is it any wonder" supported a cruel suicide scene in the end, I couldn't hold my tears back...

I think it's a great honor for Damo. Art pushes art (ifit's not commercial sh*te of course)Well, even if it is a crappy tv show, Damo "lifts" this one with his music.

my mother isn't so sure how good it is for him...but i think its great exposure...he needs to be heard around the U.S. and goodness knows he deserves it...

i wish him the best of luck with it and hopefully it will lead to even more popularity...

i know a lot of people like to have it kind of an underground thing but no use denying a good thing...

if it exposes people to his music...what's the harm? someone could be watching their fav tv show and hear 'Delicate' and say to themselves "who was that?!?!?!" maybe they will investigate, find out it's Damo and BAM he has one more fan. I think that is probably the whole point of making a cd and touring the world is to share his gift of music and song writing isn't it?

who cares? why do people care if he gets more popular or not? so he moves up to bigger concert venues..sounds great to me..this way i don't have to go see him in dives..

dont know where you live mate but if he went to bigger venues in dublin itd bit sh*t. smaller venues are crucial.. big venues or stadiums are the worst thing that could happen with damo

Smaller venues...crucial, bigger ones...the worst thing....

...so, where's the alternative to that?

But I agree with you, I think what most fans appreciate is this intimicity (?) in da clubs. Edited by: Hendrik

I dunno... when I found out that delicate was on Alias i was really surprised, but kind of impressed... I am glad to see that people on the "high end" in the US are finally recognizing Damien and his incredible talent... bravo

i completely agree...it is awesome to see that there are some people over here who can recognize straight talent...it's terribly refreshing...

and come on we all know he deserves it...

regardless of the big venues and what not (which, here, ruins every concert...), he should get the recognition he deserves.and yes,i do enjoy the intimacy...even if you share it with 200 other people in a smoke filled club...it's all goodEdited by: phoenixfire11

I agree.

I'd also like to suggest burning the Point down, to prevent that day ever happening.

I think he meant how fast the tickets sold out in Ireland

Where have you been andrea?? We were talking about nothing else for ages, on this site. Damo's 2 gigs in Dublin (and at the time, only Dublin) sold out in 3 mins (really ticketbastard startied selling early, amoung other reasons).
