thanks lisa. I remember clearly, summer of 2003, watching Vh1, and being blown away by the video for Volcano. I think you have one of the most powerful and beautiful voices I have ever heard. Its a real shame you wont be playing with Damien and the band anymore. Thanks for some great music

lisa it's sad we'll never hear your amazing voice accompanying damien's comparitively somewhat mediocre voice, but i wish you the absolute best of luck goin' solo. it must have been a difficult decision to make. but you'll do so well just as lisa hannigan, as opposed to part of damien rice. with a voice like that, you deserve it! good luck

I remember the first time i saw Damien Rice at Manchester Academy 2, not knowing much about the band i was really just expecting Damien with an acoustic guitar. Then you wondered on and started singing and i was pretty much mesmerised for the whole gig! For me Damien Rice will never quite be the same without your unique vocal style, and i'm just glad i saw you both together in such a good venue.

I'll look forward to seeing you hopefully as a solo artist soon!

you're one of the most talented singer i've ever heard and an amazing vocalist. Your voice fascinated me, whenever I hear you it's like a dream with eyes open. No other singer has ever done that. I was never before so happy as when I saw you singing with Damien on the concert.You complement one another. But when I heard you wouldn't be singing or performing with Damien any more, I was shocked. Really shocked. Damiens songs will never be good as with you, with your glory. But after much thought I realized that it was a great chance for you. And now I wish you with all my heart

I cant believe how my first Damien Rice-Gig in Hamburg was Lisas last one. It was amazing. Lisa laughed and seemed to be so happy, she kinda danced.
It was really special since I never saw her dancing on those Youtube Videos.
The Volcano version rocked. Too sad they didnt play one of my favourites (I remember, Delicate, Face, Grey Room, Insane) but it was fantastic.

Lisa, I cant imagine how songs like I remember, 9 crimes and even Older Chests should work without your voice, live, you are as important as damien to me.

I wish you the best for your future, the experience with 9 and O will not remain the same, since you left.

Well, make sure to accompagne Gary Lightbody's band on their concert @ Hurricane Festival in Germany and do a single with Bell X1 or something.

You have been a true inspiration to me. You have the incredible capacity to carry almost any emotion on a single note, and through the good and the bad your voice has 99% of the time been my soundtrack haha.

Dang, wow I'm so sad your not on tour to toronto. I hope you'll tour here once you get your own album out though(best of luck by the way). Its just amazing how you act in all your songs, it really moves, like the way you even cry on stage somtimes to prepare etc. And the way you sing all the songs with so much truth and emotion, its so intense. Heres hoping it'll get through to your songs to come
