I mean, of all time?

Damien is damn good but to bad for him Radiohead exists and so do the Beatles. He better be damn consistent to catch up with them.

WTF TORI!?!?!? I can't stand that sh*t!!!! lol to each their own i guess
i voted yes, but it was not 100 percent honest. damien is probably my favorite all around musician, however, i don't put him in the catagory of electroic ****, which for me would be the Postal Service. I like the postal service just as much as damo, but they are different styles so i can't say one is better then the other. also, i'm a HUGE hiphop and rap fan. not to mention if i had to listen to one thing the rest of my life.. i'd probably choose something like paganini or bethoven or something classical. but for what i listen to the most.. i'd have to say damien is def. the most common thing in my cd player and i can never get tired of his music

All-time favourite artist? No. I love his music, but in a competition with Botticelli, Shakespeare, Patrick Kavanagh, Rushdie, Renoir, Márquez, Cartier-Bresson and a bunch of other such people, he doesn't stand a chance.
Edit: Of Musical artists: He's still not the only one. I love quite a few musicians equally from different genres. I can't say that Damien's singing is beter then Jordi Savall's Viola da Gamba playing. If this is still too broad, of popular musicians, he is my favourite

As for me, I definitely prefer Nick Drake over Damien. His guitar playing is better. His singing is better. His music is better. His lyrics are better. Damien is a better showman, I dare presume. I also prefer Simon and Garfunkel. Edit: Well, if you include rock artists, I prefer the Floyd and Sigur Rós.

I listen to him the most and he inspires and amazes me most, so i guess he is. But by no means is he the only one; there are plenty of other "favourites" in a word that i love to listen to and that inspire me.

I have a few favorites, but they all sing different music, such as Damien and Coldplay, so I can't really compare them and place one artist above the others.

damien rice and band are incredible and touched me in a special area that i hadnt been touched in a long time, it felt really good. and i came back for more. but i could say alot of other people have touched me in the same area alot more, some of it felt better and some of it hurt
all in all i like the area they touch. damiens touch ranks up there but not quite all that.
