Default Damoīs best era?

so in which era do we reckon Damo was at his best?

the 90s/Juniper days? the early 00s-pre O??? the mid 00s-9 era? the 2010s???

so we have...

90s/Juniper days:
Volcano, Amie, The Professor, Insane, I Remember
Woman Like a Man, Tongue, Face, Me Myself & I, Eskimo
Then Go, Crosseyed Bear, Wooden Horse etc

early 00s/pre-O
Cannonball, Delicate, Cold Water, The Blowerīs Daughter, Fool
9 crimes, Grey room, Older chests, Childish, Babysister, Lonelily,
Prague, Cheers darlin, etc

2004-2007/9 era
Elephant, Rootless Tree, Dogs, Sand, Accidental Babies
Is that it My Friend, Coconut Skins, The rat within the Grain
Slow, Beast & Beauty, The Animals were gone, Sleep donīt Weep
What This Night is For, Stone, Lonely soldier, Unplayed piano, etc

2010s/MFFF era
My Favourite Faded Fantasy, The Box, The Greatest Bastard
What If Iīm Wrong, The Conoisseur of Great Excuse,
It Takes a Lot to Know a Man, Colour Me In, Long Long Way
Trusty & True, I Donīt Want to Change You, Back to her Man
No One Need Know, The Waiting Song, Camarillas, etc

so which era you think itīs the best??? maybe the early 00s... but Iīm surprised how many of my all time Damo fav songs are from the Juniper days... Iīd say the MFFF era is amazing too, maybe he was at his lowest during the 9 era...

i donīt think i could choose. o era is definitely something else, but itīs mostly i, personaly, hadnīt heard anything remotely close to what he expressed, musically and lyrically.

i love love love 9 era as well, because it just confirmed what he used to provoque in me and, somehow, made me feel it even deeper...

mfff or current era... well, leaves me speachless and breathless... so i guess it means that i love it too. i just love how he allowed/allowes himself to be creative and express himself in the way he felt/feels like doing it, despite any struggle or rejection or whatever he found on this way.

i only heard about juniper once the band was over, but i suspect i wouldnīt like it back in that time, he.

It is so difficult to choose one, there are songs that I really love in all the four groups but if I organized them according to the number of songs of each era that I most frequently listen to, this will be the order:

1. MFFF
2. 9
3. Juniper
4. O

But I must to say that the only group that has few songs that I almost never listen is the Juniper's era group but still this group have more of my really favourite songs than the O's era.

Difficult... But I guess the 9 era because that's when he produced the most intense songs (elephant / accidental babies / rootless tree)

I also love the post juniper versions of the juniper songs. But I couldn't choose that era, because I'm not that fond of the juniper versions of those songs.

I knew Damien by listening to his songs from 9 era so this era is very especial for me, I think the MFFF era is really amazing I like the way he express himself in this era and I'm very excited to see what's coming next

The Juniper versions of all the songs from that era are terrible but the songs themselves are amazing, as seen by the later Damo versions, I like how the lyrics are more juvenile and testosterone-driven

I didn't want to offend anyone, but yes the juniper versions of those songs are awful. I really love Damien's post juniper versions of those songs though. I can't even begin to describe how much I hate juniper's "i remember december", yet Damien's "i remember" is one of my all time favourites.

i get what you guys mean, but, personally, i donīt think juniperīs version of the songs are terrible... itīs just we have something extraordinary to compare them to... post juniper versions are simply masterpieces! also, they have a few good ones, such us little sister, beautiful madness, weatherman, you, down and wooden horse... well, maybe itīs only me

taht said, i repeat what i mentioned before... i donīt think i would have been a juniper fan anyway, he.

My biggest problem with Juniper is their lack of direction.
You know the interview where damien chats about not wanting to make vegetarian chicken soup? To me Juniper is vegetarian chicken soup. They were trying to make pop songs out of songs that clearly weren't meant to be pop songs.

But to be fair, the actual songs that are buried underneath the layer of 90s pop are great.

but I think my biggest issue is that Damien does not sound like himself, his voice/way of singing is so different, I donīt even recognise him

check Insane, I donīt like the production, itīs too much Bell XI, but his voice doesīt sound like him at all, zero (imho)

No, I agree.
Maybe that's because it actually was his evil twin Dodi Ma
