cello for older chests?
hi! i wanna play older chests for my recital exam at school. And i have a cellist who can accompany, but nowhere on the internet can i find cello music for older chests. I was wondering if anyone here could be of any help i would be very thankfull. if any cellists know how to play it you would be doing me such a favour by giving me a hand. Otherwise i'll be trying note it by ear, which is difficult to do at points where it plays very quietly.
I have thought damien is soooo lucky to have a group of musicians who are actually dedicated to his songwriting. Obviously he diserves it, But since i had a go at it myself. Most of my songs are solo type things. But for one of mine, i included piano, drums, guitar, cello, violins 1 and 2, viola and an excelent vocalist. The organisation was impossible. we never practised all together as a group until the actual performance itself! please listen if you will i'm quite proud. ok, my web space has just been removed which was really kind of the people at "esmartdesign.com" ah well i'll try and post it's url later

mm...there's layers of cello on there.
it doesnt take too long to do it by ear. i have a crappy sketch of the chorus, but i'm too lazy to give it to you. oh, and where can we listen to you? the one site doesn't give mp3 links just links to a list of songs... Last edited by cello_pudding; 04-15-2005 at 06:14 PM. |

unfortunately the list of songs is just a random play list for people to see what kind of different stuff i like, it's just a site which i'm generally using to put up pics of my friends partays and stuff.
i was going to upload my song onto my old website, but my account has been deleted somehow?! and geocities doesn't seem to be working. when it does i'll put it up there and give you a link... oooooo pleeeeeeeeeeeease could you just quickly do the chorus for me *poutes and flutters eyelashes* lol

here's a good hint...its not even in 4/4.
well...it starts with 2 cellos playing an e and a g. and it goes to them playing d and f..and then back to e and g. and the higher cello will go A G C before it repeats to "pass me by" and i donno if theres a slight harmonic thats just coming from the C and for the weird chord... they just swell in at different times. there's a G and a B in there...there may be some added notes..but i don't know if thats just the gutiar filling the sound at the end both play D-C. on the last C chord ... mmm..i donno thats kinda a ruff idea... oh and its in 6/8. |

Did It!
whoa, i've been thinking in 4/4, i'm kinda doing my own thing now. so although as previously stated, the song is 6/8. I've made a version of the chorus in 4/4. so for anyone who wants to play it, it sounds practically the same. I've put it in guitarpro for ur pleasure , and attatched it here.. Thanks for the help!! i've got to practise it now!
I've also just uploaded my song to yahoo Click here for it U can only really here the guitar play when it's on it's own. BTW it's not me singing. I sent it to my cousin and my uncle told everyone his nephew has an amazing voice. I wish. The singer is a guy called alex matheson who's in a band called The Ten Year Prospect, they're playing cambridge man on the moon on friday if anyone's intrested, the age limit has been reduced to 14.
