I dont get it. Hes scheduled to perform on the acoustic stage on the 22nd June according to the bbc website. I have heard nothing about his set on the tv coverage and nothing about his set on this website/forum. Whats happening? Has he already played? Am I just being stupid and he cancelled it ages ago???

The Beeb weren't covering the acoustic stage, they only cover the "cool" ones

I was watching it all night and recorded everything, and there's absolutely zero coverage of the acoustic tent althogether. I'm still dissapointed that Damien wasn't on the Other Stage, i thought that would be more suitable to the band's live performance or even the pyramid (maybe optimistic), but at least the John Peel Stage? Although he isn't an up and coming artist i suppose.

i was there....it was rammed

he was headlining the acoustic stage though, quite appropriate i think...he did the other stage in 03 but early in the day

it was awesome, however i was very drunk so anything would probably have been awesome!

it's weird that they don't cover the acoustic stage though, dunno why that is

I was at the Glastonbury performance, he did headline the acoustic stage on Friday night and was fantastic. He was up against Arctic Monkeys and Bjork and still managed to pull quite a crowd. It was a really nice venue for him, much more intimate than the Other Stage and I think it suited him better. Cant find any coverage of it, didn't see any cameras or even photographers close to the stage.

Apparently there is some BBC footage somewhere but I haven't managed to find it yet.

can someone who was at the gig tell us a bit more about it? Which band members were present, what did they play, was it acoustic esque or is usual more loud rocky sound?

For those of you who are that way inclined I though I'd let you know that he was wearing that patchwork shirt/rugby jersey type-yolk when he played in the treehouse! (Coconut Skins performance mentioned above)

There wouldn't be any TV coverage of the Acoustic Stage set - Glastonbury has literally dozens of stages, but the BBC normally only has cameras at 4 of them (the 3 big outdoor stages, and the John Peel tent).

Sometimes footage does emerge from other stages, as places like the Leftfield and the Avalon stage usually film their own stuff (most stages are operated independently of the festival hierarchy), but I've never seen any sign of professional cameras at the Acoustic stage, including during Damiens performance.

Shame, as it was an excellent set.
