Default Radiohead/Damien merge (also posted in Everything Else Section)

I also posted this in Everything Else, but incase some musicians don't read there:

I made something today, and filmed it as I thought eskimos may like it. Well, you will if you're a fan of Damien and Radiohead. (Which I'm sure most of you are!)

Excuse the reverb, I couldn't turn it off, also excuse dodgy guitar playing in places, messed up words, and nasal sounding vocals towards the end!!

The guitar is the wondergutiar mentioned a few weeks ago - though it must be said the reverb means you can't really hear what it's like, and it suits more palm muted strummy stuff more. Hope you like!

Let me know what your honest thoughts are.

2 of my favourite songs in one place... what's not to like!?

You have a really nice voice.

Had a sober listen (!) - you're very very talented. Think Mr Rice would approve!

Thumbs up Awe..

I have to admit I was really skeptical about hearing someone sing Damien Rice's song besides the man himself. I tend to roll my eyes at this sort of thing.. :P But your voice was so beautiful, I couldn't help but get off my high horse and applaud you! Your sound is haunting... great job!

Thanks a lot dude! That means a lot, because I too am always worried when I cover Damien that it's kinda putting a dampner on his talent, so I'm glad to hear that you liked it.

Nine! That was truly beautiful! Two of my favorite songs too - you interleaved them so well and your voice sounded amazing. I think it is a really cool idea, and so well executed.

Benjamin

PS - what are your thoughts on me trying your arrangement?

Thanks Ben! Glad you liked it, absolutely feel free to cover the arrangement, I don't mind at all! But if you record it or play it live or whatever I'd appreciate a mention!

Tim, sorry you can't see it I didn't mention the names just cos the two songs are ones that I feel need no introduction! Though I didn't think about the poor folks such as yourself with dial-up! But now you know

xx

Very, very nice combination. You have real talent, a hauntingly beautiful voice. Only thing I would say is that you couldn't sell your type of voice on the current music scene which is sad.
