There's a very good chance MFFF will be awarded the title of Hottest Record in the World Right Now by the BBC tonight. An ultimately meaningless award but one that shows a lot of faith. Exciting, exciting, exciting!

Streaming on BBC1 literally right now.

Opens with just fingerpicked electric guitar and falsetto lyrics

Some keys come in for a moment between second verse and chorus. Some strings during second chorus.

Second electric guitar line during bridge(?)

Full string section and lead guitar line during sort of second bridge seguing to third verse

Third chorus has backing vocals.

Third verse drums kick in for full band.

Kind of rocks out a moment, then quiets for a verse, and absolutely balls to the wall rocks out to end.

This is basically the same sound as that Fall 2007 tour, which was my favorite version of him. I just went from cautiously optimistic to extremely excited.

His voice sounds quite different, more delicate 'cause it's quite high.
Shades of Sigur Ros too.
I'm totally, irrevocably in love with it.

definetely damien at the heart of the song...but veeeery commercially mixed/produced.
Will be a blast live though.
Partly reminded me of badly engineered radio compatible pop-songs. *duck*


whats thats professional marketing going on here. Live Perfomance on BB1 now, one second later the video online one facebook etc.

This was my thought too, about it being awesome live.

Kind of about the produced, but it was the Radio, and Cannonball always gave me a similar vibe.

Damn damn damn! I totally missed it! I've been waiting for this album for years, and I can't believe I didn't realize that this song was going to stream.

If there is any kind soul out there that has a recording, I'd be in your debt if you sent it my way. I'll be buying it, but I'm way too impatient after waiting almost nine years.

On that note, I'm so damn excited. Finally, Damo is back.

Love the song. Totally agree with the Sigur Ros comparison as well as the increased commercial sound. Damien has been a crafty old devil making all these goodies behind the scenes! Roll on midnight.
