I agree with you Guitar Monkey. Gibson make fine acoustic guitars. And especially the jumbos.

Martin makes the legendary D-28. It is a fine acoustic guitar. I personally prefer the Santa Cruz Guitar Company's interpretation of the D-28. But yes, Martin make fine guitars!

I love it when cheap guitars sound like expensive ones! You are lucky to have found that one then Miss Pink!

sometimes that happens once i was lookin at this applause electro-acoustic guitar worth £2000 and the boss said to me that its got a sh*t sound and that a £60 Stagg acoustic had a more betta sound to it sometimes its just the label ppl are after not the sound of the guitar itself

And of course that it stays in tune, and has great overall intonation as well as it looks appealing to you!

You are perfectly right! They (at least most of them) just want you to spend as much money as possible. Bringing along someone you trust andwho has more experience is always a good idea! Great advice Miss Pink, Guitar Monkey and Shaun!

A friend of mine has a beautiful sounding Yairi dreadnaught. Back and sides are figured walnut and engleman spruce top. Looks gorgeous and has a great woody tone.

Also I've never heard a taylor that didn't have good well balanced tone. Quite expensive though.

I've heard that those Yiari guitars are supposed to be really good. Never tried one, though. As for Taylor guitars I have tried several really expensive ones which sounded awful and plastic. Some of them are good though, but the expensive ones are not nessecarily the best ones. I like the sound of the Taylor Big Baby. However it feels kind of fragile compared to f.i. a Santa Cruz guitar.

I don't know much about guitars either but mine's a Yamaha F-340 and I think it has a reallynice sound, as do my friends who are far more knowledgeable and experienced guitar players than I am. Looks great too - glossy black - very Johnny Cash.

I can't remember exactly what I paid for it - but it should be well within your price range ayla*.

oops, you said electric-acoustic... well mine's just acoustic, but Yamaha makes electric-acoustic ones as well. See http://www.global.yamaha.com/product...c/guitars.html
