Damien Rice's drummer setup
I am searching for some photos or sites with Damien Rice's drummer setup. I am currently audition for a band that has the sound of Damien Rice and would like to know what kit he uses, cymbals and his setup. Can anyone help me.

well the cymbal in that pic is zildjian, if u just go into a drum shop with a stick in hand and damien in ur ear, u could just go bang arround to see what sounds right, it's all good fun.

No djembe in this picture but this is from video of a gig in Birmingham last year. Looks like the same Ludwig drum kit he's used for the last few years when I've seen Damo in the UK. I had a picture from Glasto I'll post when I can find it again. I know Tomo plays on Ziljian cymbals 'cause he told me when I met him last year. No idea what kind except for the no-bell ride cymbal he called his favorite sounding one.http://eskimofriends.com/forum/attac...entid=60&stc=1 |

On closer inspection, I can almost definately say that he's using a Black Beauty snare in that photo though I've seen a wooden-looking one at other shows.

Tomo definitely used a Black Beauty snare at a gig i was at - i took a peak. He had Vic Firth stix too..(not sure how thats relevant...) and he was using Ziljian cymbals anyhoo..hope this helped!
And no, we drummers are NOT nerds, merely expressing a love for the art that is drumming and recognising a talented drummer. I like drums

Thats definitely a Ludwig Black Beauty snare in the pic and a lovely keystone Ludwig Silver Sparkle kit.
Late 60's/early 70's I would say. Nice set-up |
