Ade, what abt the bigger, more ambitious project? Is it still in the plans?? Of course Im in this project, but I can't really record myself with this PC, somehow there's this horrible crackling sound... What to do?? Oh, if I can't record at least I won't have to choose a song!

I have a sh*tty mic, too. I know how to record my voice.
But I'm too shy to get into this project anyway, I guess. Come on, girls, sing!! |

ok guys, and yes patricia, the big project is on, this is a test for it, if you see what i mean, i don't know what to suggest about recording, these are the downsides of trying to do such a thing on the internet! You need a half decent mic really and logic will do the recording resonably well depending on what soundcard you have, there will be a bit lost on quality during 2 sets of conversions but we're only after 'rough and live'. let me know folks if you have a particular problem and i'll do my best to help, you could all come and holiday with us folks and record it here but that would defeat the object!! Oh and those who haven't, I'm still doing songs on the other thread!!

think i'll just have to sing along unplugged - if i sing really loud maybe you can hear it on the other side of the northern sea....

I have to get a new jack for my mic before I can
record anything tolerable, anyway, so I'll hang out at the back of the line, and practice. Maybe I can get someone from somewhere else, who isn't so in demand, to collaborate with me.

im so computer illiterate....logic...completely confused me (ironic name for it) but i just got sonar 3...which im gettin the hang of pretty good....the basics at least.. my crappy microphone actually turns out pretty well over it...but im gonna have to adjust a bit...once i figure out how.

no, it's made for lots of platforms, Hendrik, the version i put up on the site is not a full logic 5.5.1, it's the hit kit version which is a smaller but equally as powerful. It's better than sonar and actually easier to use, but can be as complex as you wish to make it. It's the only sequencing package to offer lots of choices on how you actually use its tools. OK, for unexplainedmuses' benefit, I've just installed logic 5.5.1 and 6 educational versions at shool, they were initially using sonar, all of them have ajusted to it superbly and says that it pi**es all over sonar, point two is that you can use it as an industry standard recording package, which it is, or my 5 year old has even got to grips with it, honestly, it's that easy. you've all seen how quickly i can knock out a recording and put it up on the net... i rest my case!! by the way muse, I can demonstrate this by doing you a song later if you want? I can run through logic for you if you like!Edited by: ade and rice |
