What is everyone's favourite Damien Rice song and
why? I love Rule No 2, Nine Crimes and Bottom Shelf but my fav would have to be Blower's Daughter. So melodic and gorgeous. Amazing. It was the first song of his I ever heard. Reminds me of a boy I like as he put it on a compilation. Would you not love someone to write beautiful songs about you??Swoon

Speaking of Insane my aunt was visiting last week and around 11:30 on sunday morning I got out the guitar and started playing it.
The only way I can hit the higher parts while playing the guitar [aside: do any guitarists find that playing it detracts from their vocals?] is to go loud, so I'm playing away and getting into it and go "all over my</font>skii-</font>iinnnn</font>" and I find out later that day that I woke my aunt up and she nearly fell out of bed.Edited by: #Ian#

TOTALLY! I find now I have to find a simplified guitarversion of whatever song I'm playing cos I just can'tput my everything into the vocals. I still sound grand but sound much better without the guitar. I guess it's down to practise but I think I'll always just be that bit better singing on my own without playing at the same time!

It changes everytime I play "O". Thats whats so great about the album. I dont think I'll ever get bored of it. Maybe Cannonball is my favorite. I dont know. A hard question...

difficult question!!! i LOVE Lonelilly, Amie, Cannonball, the Professor, Delicate, I Remember and Cheers Darlin' (if I'm in the mood!). I love the story behind Cheers D. my ex wrote a song about me before we went out, and I was so unbelievably touched by it, I cried every time I heard it. It was a great song. kinda a mixture of damien rice and jeff buckley. The band still plays it at gigs too, it's one of their most popualr, and I feel extremely priviledged!Edited by: lonelilly_lil

My favorite song rite now would have to be Older Chests, which actually started out as my least favorite.Everytime I hear it I think of good things. I alsolike Nine Crimes alot. I love when he says " its the wrong kind of place to be cheating on you."

My favorite damo song?... Today? Wooden Horse. Tomorrow? A different one, maybe delicate. The next day? Another different one, perhaps Lonelily. ... My fav is dictated by my emotions and whats going through my head at the moment.

lol at #Ian#'s story. i was practising "Woman Like A Man" when my nan asked me to play it for her.....i was like errrrrr....... but i played it passionately, screaming every swear word and basically ROCKING THE JOINT!!! afterwards, my nan was silent for a bit, then said "teach me the words" !!!!!!!!! she sings it all the time now!! one groovy granny if you ask me!

hmmm...fav song? i suppose like everyone else it changes. Dont have any of his unreleased/mp3 stuff so I guess it would either be "Cold Water" with "I Remember" a close second.

Like Ian, my favourite changes daily. At the moment, Insane and Fool are on my mind. "And with my hands I'll build a tower in your name And you will do the same Won't you my love?" eh, no she won't damo, sorry. I love those lyrics...

I find it hard to pick just one song. The very first song I heard of him was "cannonball", when I heard it I didnt know who this Damien Rice person was. But, I feel in love with the song straight away! I next heard "Woman Like A Man" and that scared me a bit, it was kinda like Audio Porn, lol! But I love it now. Though my fav songs are probably Amie and Blower's Daughter!
