its not new...i've had it for at least a year now.
damien wrote it while he was in italy? well, where ever he was exactly, he got caught in the rain and and found some shelter on a random street. then he just sat down and wrote the song while he watched the rain, like he always does...

that sounds like the 'bottom shelf' story.. and i think it was scotland..

there's a video of 'nine crimes' from the kfog sessions, that's the only place i've ever heard the song

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SO0Hy...0nine%20crimes

the sounds not the best but it's nice.. vyv smiles real pretty at the end

when I first heard Rule No. 2, It was mislabeled as 9 Crimes... I was just wondering if anyone knows why that is so common. I personally don't see the similarities

"There’s a situation, where if you can imagine yourself being at college and there’s a guy’s party at his house. And he lives jus tout the city, and theres trees and fields and cows and stuff around him. And you go outside the house, and these two friends, these two girls come up and say.
‘Ah lets go for a walk?’
And erm, one of them starts teasing you, drunken and stuff. And the other one kinda knows that the other one fancies you what ever and she’s sorta teasing the other one. But you don’t really know that any of this is going on until its all ready happened, and then what ever. And you end up getting to a point, where you feel like your gonna be the luckiest man in the world. Then all of a sudden you remember you’ve got a girlfriend in Paris. Out of guilt anyway, you go and ring your girlfriend in Paris, but you cant get through, and your like maybe she’s of with somebody else or what ever! And you go through that whole cycle, this song is called nine crimes….

Leave me out with the waste
This is not what i do
It's the wrong kind of place
To be thinking of you
It's the wrong time
For somebody new
It's a small crime
And i've got no exuse

Is that alright?
Give my gun away when it's loaded
Is that alright?
If u dont shoot it how am i supposed to hold it
Is that alright?
Give my gun away when it's loaded
Is that alright
Is that alright with u?

Leave me out with the waste
This is not what i do
It's the wrong kind of place
To be cheating on you
It's the wrong time
but she's pulling me through
It's a small crime
And I've got no exuse

Is that alright?
Give my gun away when it's loaded
Is that alright?
If u dont shoot it how am i supposed to hold it
Is that alright?
Give my gun away when it's loaded
Is that alright
Is that alright with u?

Is that alright?
Is that alright?
Is that alright with u?
Is that alright?
Is that alright?
Is that alright with u?

No..."

Hey Penguinboy!!! I am super un-computer saavy...so the only way i know how to send it is on a disc in the mail... If u like, I'll do it...just send me your address. Otherwise, if you think you can walk me through it, I can send it by other means. i had to search my behind off to get the correctly labeled nine crimes... yes, the one with the story behind it as typed by Beevers! Or is that the only version???

P.S..... I love the Lonely Soldier signature Penguinboy!!

i think some bozo labeled it wrong ages ago and then joined kazaa and/or slsk and stuff like that, and it spread to everyone interested in damien rarities... it took me about a year to realise that the nine crimes and the rule no 2 y junction i had was the same song, tsk tsk... in that time i must have been contributing in spreading the wrong titled rule no 2 y junction, woe is me...

both great tunes btw
