New album recording

Hey all,

Apologies if this has been previously mentioned but couldn't see anything relevant in a quick scan of the forum.

There was an article on Vyvienne in the Culture magazine in last weekend's Sunday Times and in it, it is mentioned that she will be travelling to LA to play on Damien Rice's third album "currently being recorded on the West coast". Must say, I was surprised to read that!

im seriously considering moving to LA just to catch those random shows he does.... Plus im pretty sure my songwriting would greatly improve just being in the same vicinity as him............

This lines up pretty well with what Glen told us last time we saw him re: when and where he's recording, but man does it make me happy that he might at least be playing with Viv.

Fingers crossed. At least Lisa and Glen are touring enough to get my live music fill in the mean time. :P

Great! Just to put the time in perspective between now and his last album, I got married and had two kids since the last album. Would love to see a new album before any more life milestones.

with you here totally......to live my life I don't actually need to hear his next album............... but I want to hear it before I make the next milestone in life.....the backdrop of Amie and Eskimo in the past couple of tears has made life that bit richer....I don't know why I feel he has a certain inspiration that I hear from nowhere else.........but life is only so long and with or without his new album life goes on......

I passed Damien today, walking down a street in down town Reykjavik and I remembered I haven't been here in a while.

I also have some "inside information" I wanted to share with you (I scrolled through several threads here and didn't see this mentioned anywhere, but I could be wrong). My friend's band is recording their third studio album and she told me that Damien has been renting that studio for the past 5 months, working on an album. Now, I don't want to get everyone's hopes up and this is not "official information" but he's here and has been spending a lot of time in a studio. Just thought I'd let you all know.
