I'm slammed at work this week and don't see myself getting to leave before 6 tomorrow, so if someone can save me a spot, you'll be my hero. I can't wait to see everyone again tomorrow and hopefully meet some new faces too!

I took two days off. I'll be in the city fairly early tomorrow, I'll probably be around the park most of the day/walking around doing touristy things. I got your back!

To everyone going - have a great time! I'm sad that we won't be there, but we made the tough decision to go to another show tomorrow night.

Sarah and I are hoping to get there sometime between 2:00-3:00pm I think (depends which train we catch). Can't wait to see you guys again!
Casey- sorry work is crazy for you, but I'm sure we'll be able to fit you in somewhere! InspirationDestination- we'll miss you!!! Maybe somebody can stream the show via the periscope app? I'm technologically challenged, but perhaps somebody else knows what to do? Also, wan't that WFUV station going to do an audio stream? Safe travels Mike, Kristin, and Nancy! |

Someone should ask for Mustard Seeds. I remember it being on that list of songs for the album that was posted on Facebook.

setlist so far
Cannonball Delicate 9 Crimes Elephant (Mercedes story) Trusty and True (harmonium) Colour Me In (lovely version) Woman Like a Man (stream cut. censored??) The Box I Remember edit: *spoilers? * the host mentioned 2 mics on stage and I read someone saw Glen in the audience so I'm guessing there might be a colab.

oh my God. It takes a lot to know a man was amazing today... how many instruments he played?!?!
i was waiting in line really early today in the Friends line, and saw him sound checking, sort of playing all of these, but never thought they will come together like this... |

Damien Rice, 06.17.15
Prospect Park 8:45 Cannonball Delicate 9 Crimes (loop) Elephant Trusty & True (hamonium) Colour Me In Woman Like a Man Box I Remember (loop) The Professor Long Long Way (harmonium, loop) Volcano (audience participation) 10:15 The Blower's Daughter It Takes A Lot to Know a Man (loop, clarinet, electric guitar, percussion) Really, really good show this evening. He sounded great, mixed the delicate with the rock, told some good (new) stories. No ear infection. The highlight for me was most definitely Trusty and True. Damien, and the harmonium. Had this great mix of Irish and Indian sounds. Slow, paced. Gave me goosebumps. Long Long Way was quite good. And then the closing It Takes A Lot was just over the top, with Damien picking up instrument after instrument. First time seeing him on Clarinet in 13 years of seeing him . . . Great stuff. We were two from the front to the right of the middle rail/walkway, on the pavement. |

This show was absolutely amazing!!
I got to the venue at around 5pm and met up with everyone who was already waiting in line. We were lucky enough to secure a spot for the whole group in the front row, on the left side of the stage. Josh Ritter was a great opener and Damien came on around 9:45pm. Loved that he played The Professor, and of course enjoyed Long Long Way on the harmonium and guitar. There was such great energy and I am so glad I got to share this whole experience with so many eskimo friends (Liz, Sarah, Scott and wifey, Mike, Nancy, Casey, DesoleInBoston, blindemelonade). Looking forward to seeing everyone again when Damien plays another show here in NY (hopefully soon!). |
