Hi. I am a UK-based Irish-born fan and would love to get my hands on some live recordings. I've listened toa lot of the streaming stuff but hope I don't need to resort to recording that with a primitive tape recorder and the sound of traffic and my washing-machine in the background. I know nothing about ftp's and my knowledge of technology is rudimentary. At best. I have just read a link on B & Ps and would like to get involved, but have nothing to trade (except blanks!). Can anyone offer advice?

Well im sure theres someone from this site who lives near enough to you, that wuold have no problem in B&P'ing with you for the gigs.
Other than that, there are a good few forums here about the ftp thing, and its really not that difficult. If you can find your way around an Internet Browser like "Internet Explorer" or "Netscape" you should be able to get to grips with the ftp software like "SmartFtp". Which is available for free right here. Just download the software, and enter the address's damienrice.serveftp.net or 24.193.247.136 in the address bar, and the user name (Damien) and password (Rice) for both sites. It will take a while to connect cos there is so much demand, but when you do its sinple enough from there. Hope that helps. </font>
