USA NY/LA Ticket Onsales?
any of the admins know when the tickets for the NY or LA shows will be available to purchase? thanks in advance.

i'm in LA and i would sell body parts to get just 1 ticket to the el rey show. i haven't seen damien yet, and he's my favorite artist out there. i missed him when he came through so cal with fionna.

So, I'm planning on getting tickets for my friend and myself when they go onsale. Does eskimofriends ever have something where friends can meet up at the show? get drinks before hand and see who they've been talking with, sharing music, and getting trashtalk from

The website for El Rey says they don't sell advance tickets, all is done thru TICKETMASTER online. They only sell tickets on the day of the show if there are still some left.
If you go to the Ticketmaster site there is nothing yet, but you can sign up for this alert thing and (in theory) they will e-mail you... or not

El Rey does not sell advance tickets online, you have to go thru Ticketmaster. What you can do is sign for alerts and then they should e-mail you when the tickets go on sale... theoretically speaking...

hiro lounge is a bar in the Maritime hotel in nyc- definitely the kind of venue youd want to see damien play- I just gave them a call - no answer- but the machine said they are just encouraging walk ins to events - I will call back tomorrow (they are only open thurs-sun) and post for everyone the reply I get

LA show at the El Rey
I called the El Rey and she confirmed the show but said she didn't have any information about ticket sales. The El Rey website does not list the show as a coming event yet. The woman at the El Rey referred me to wwww.goldenvoice.com and said to check there for ticket information as well, I guess this website coordinates the El Rey's concerts?
Hoping there is a presale, or something. |

tickets to his concert in new york over the summer were about 60 bucks and we had really good seats- again ill post tomorrow about the hiro lounge concert- tried again to call today and no one was there

That was about the same price for this concert this summer in Southern CA, but I'm thinking the price was higher because of Fiona Apple. (And I left after Damien was done, anyway. I saw Apple several years ago and was so unimpressed, she had no stage presence and no personality. Before she started singing, we thought she was the piano tuner or something.)

I checked the regular prices on the El Rey website and they are pretty cheap... most gigs are 15-20 bucks, max 25 bucks... even relatively-known bands like The Zutons or Brand New Heavies... I hope it will be the same for Damien...

His solo shows have ranged from $15 to $40 over the past three years in the states - I'd expect it to be $30ish apiece before stupid ticketmaster charges.

looks like tickkets to hiro are about $20-$25 - according to all the other gigs they have listed on ticketweb for that venue- still nothing on damien (dont know if theyll raise the price for him)- but hopefully we get some news soon- it looks like the place only holds a small number of people so hopefully we dont miss the announcement

ticketmaster has now updated - if you search damien rice there will then be a link to "damien rice dates scheduled nationally" - though clicking this still goes to a page saying they currently dont have tickets for sale they have at least recognized the fact that there will be shows upcoming (this is different from thursday where simply searching damien rice would immediately take you to a page saying "there are currently no tickets..."
