funnily enough i seem to have acquired two over the last year, im learning the cello myself and we also have mandolin and sitar players here - but none of us have got around to trying out the bouzoukis yet - must give it a go soon - do you play drunkenviking?

Not yet... But I'm saving to buy one... I think it has a very interesting sound, and I love Planxty....

I love Planxty but cant play the bouzouki...

incidentally i can play the violin tho (idont know if this is relevant- but i'm guessing the bouzouki is a string instrument?!)

Aaah -you're talking about the bouzouki that Donal Lunny plays!! why didn't u say?! lol. I just dug out my parents LPs and i found a planxty one.

oh and btw in the dictionary/encyclopaedia it says the bouzouki is used esp. in Greece...interesting..
