I too saw this thread title and thought I should probably check Blunt out. Luckily, VH1.com has his entire album on their site for free (usually about a week or so before it's available here). I listened to it with no expectations. Sorry, but I can't believe anyone with a decent ear could seriously begin to compare such awful, amateurish lyric writing, monotonous and repetitive songs and narrow, unnaturally high, emotionally stunted vocals to the work of a master craftsman and soul shaking performer like Damien Rice. Blunt is a mere flavor of the month and that flavor is characteristically bland.

Blower's Daughter is a song so beautifully written that one doesn't need to put the word 'beautiful' in its lyric, nor its title, to describe how beautiful it is.
