I'd put Ray LaMontagne in there too though, I feel they could work a great deal better than the one they did together at Tarratata. Also I'd love to see him do 'Leave' with Glen Hansard.

My mistake - was getting confused with 'When your minds made up' - d'oh! I wonder if there is a Frames version of leave...?
On a completely different subject - has anyone seen the film Glen Hansard made with Marketa? |

Hmm, i don't like Ray Lamontagne much myself - too repetitive is my main problem i think, plus his guitar playing isn't the best in world. Still he's pretty good.
I have no idea on this subject really, i don't think that Damien is the dueting kinda guy; he's better just him or just him and his band in my opinion.

They're bringing out a soundtrack to it too, which also looks good. It's not The Swell Season obviously, it's new recordings.

1 I'd love to see damo with something experimental, like ben frost - that's a bit obscure (though ben frost is amazing)... but something which realy explores his crazy side - sex change par example.
2 A collaboration with Mark Linkous (aka Sparklehorse) And 3 CocoRosie, though i don't know how musically compatible they'd be with him

1 Lluís Llach
2 Lisa 3 Rachid Taha The first one is a Catalan cantautor ( basically a first generation singer-songwriter), who I think is amazing, the second is obvious and the third is totally non-compactible (he's an Algerian French raď-rocker), but I'd love to see what they could create together.

Amy Lee (from evanescence), Tori Amos, (yes i have heard the power of orange knickers!) Dave Matthews R. x |

This is a tough one...I saw a few people saying Joshua Radin, he doesn't really sing so much a whisper his lyrics so I think that would be an odd match in my opinion.
For me I think he should work with: Bela Fleck and the Flecktones (would be interesting to say the least, picture Rootless tree with Bela and the Band...crazy!) Ryan Adams-That would be fantastic! Martin Sexton- I think they would mesh really well actually. Aww it's fun to dream.lol. Cheers! |

Too right, Ryan Adams and Damien would be well good.
I heard Ryan play with Elton John and they were well good together. I was thinking Conor Oberst from the Bright Eyes....but then Conor can go a bit dodgy in the old vocals when he gets emotional or the song gets higher. Still, great band, great guy. |

I think Damien and Conor Oberst wouldn't match well.

I wanted to post it, but because it wouldn't be a duet in the strictest sense I didn't, but I feel I have to: A Damien Rice-Yann Tiersen collaboration would be like heaven.

Hmmm yeah i was thinking Damien Dempsey too, but then i don't know what he is like live. Ive only heard his rock - pop voice on Folk Singer/ life in the D etc.
One thing i love about Ryan Adams is that he can have different voices. He can have country, like in "heartbreaker", he can have rock - pop like in "rock n roll" and he can have really slow, serious songs such as wonderwall....i love him. |
