Best of Damien Youtubes
I looked to see if we had a specific thread for just youtubes of Damo, and it seems we don't, although I may be wrong. Anyway, please post what you consider to be exceptional performance and/or interviews caught on film and posted on youtube for everyone else to enjoy!
My personal favorites: Eskimo (Lisa's vocals are awe insipiring) http://youtube.com/watch?v=7f52_p-uRhg Cannonball Unplugged (Crowd sings along at end) http://youtube.com/watch?v=qHdsSpMMLTo Delicate (BBC Session again Lisa's vocals again) http://youtube.com/watch?v=huDIF--HmPU And of course all of the performances at Abbey Road: Rootless Tree http://youtube.com/watch?v=xlnpedLeGbo Volcano http://youtube.com/watch?v=259uK-4OqWA 9 Crimes http://youtube.com/watch?v=HOn5Eudj5tI |

Cheers Darlin at Hiro Ballroom in New York on November 16, 2006 Not exceptional in the sense of the most mindblowing performance, but it is absolutely hilarious! Vyv sings the first part of it, no need to write more I guess! |

I love this version of The Professor from the Union Chapel. It has some Bob Dylan impersonation, and Lisa's part is just amazing (as usual). Plus, it was the video on the old DR site that kickstarted my interest in Damiens music

I like this Cheers Darlin from NY Dec 06. The one in which he ends up hugging Lisa and putting his arm around her and she drinks the wine from his glass (probably cos she thinks he's drunk enough)

I like that one as well, and while watching it again I noticed that the light bulb in the "lamp" on the piano broke halfway through the song! |

For me it was an Acoustic version of Cold Water from the Rolling Stone Sessions or something, but they took it off

I never knew that he change the lyrics in "The Blower's Daughter" too. Wasn't there a performence of "I remember", where he change the lyrics, because of the cameras?
The "Older Chests" video is great! Thanks for posting.

Great one Ronja!!! What does he say about a French girlfriend?? Adrienne???
but that's not the one I was meaning... but i cannot find it... maybe it's not during I Remember. I'm sure it was at Bonnaroo 2004 and he makes a whole improv, almost like a whole song that goes 'I see a man with a telephone, I see a man with a camera taking pictures of me,...' Anyone??????? |
