The Volcano Single

Hey, I have the other Volcano single with just remixes of the song on it, but I'm thinking about buying the other one from the Damien Rice shop that has the video and backstage stuff on it...

Is the video any good? Worth buying?

i tried playing it on the playstation but it wouldn't work....actually ive forgotten about it since and now we have a dvd player so i must try it again

I'm pretty sure you have it already. Put it in your pc, open it up and their should be a little mpeg video file. It won't play on playstations though, no, and it won't play on a DVD player if you put the acual single in.Edited by: Scon

As far as I remember:

The video on the volcano single is in AVI format. This means you need to play it on a computer. It won't work on a Playstation or other DVD player.

The video itself is ok. It just shows Damo and the band performing (don't know at which gig). There's a little bit of backstage footage - but obviously nothing 'amazing' since i can't recall any of it in particular.

to be honest, i wouldn't but it for the video.

It's mpg (mpeg1) format, which the majority DVD players will play, but not in the way the single is made. Therefore it's pretty much guaranteed to do nothing when you put it in a DVD player.

Interesting tidbit: The video on the single was played as an intro on the projection screen at the album launch gig. (It's the first track on the bootleg).
