I never know what to say for these things. It's rare that I do sign up for a chat forum but I like Damien so much that it's hard to not to get together with a bunch of people that feel the same way. Uhhh I am from the United States so I guess I'm not as big a fan as i should be lol. I own his "O" album and a couple of singles. I have no idea of the DVD for "O" and "Cannonball" so I guess I got some hunting to do. I think the mystery that is around this guy here in the states is what makes me excited about his case. You just don't hear too much from him unless you have your ear to the ground. I still remember the first time I saw or heard anything about him. It was summer of '03 and I was awake at like friggin 5 o'clock in the morning and my mind was numb from exhaustion. The T.V. had been resting on VH1 for some odd reason for awhile and I saw that they had a "Spotlight" show on. Damien's video (and the only time I've seen it to this day) for "Volcano" came on and I flipped out. I (sheepishly) downloaded it online and listened to it for eternity. I soon heard the whole album and purchased it, that being the best thing I've done in awhile. I absolutely CANNOT get enough of it and the sound it sooo beautiful. It is indescribable how he can reach out through his music and choke you, holding you breathless for a second...I mean it's unreal and it's what I admire about him. But yeah...without sounding crazy uhhh I learned a couple of his songs on my guitar (Volcano, Cold Water, trying to learn Cannonball now) and I just wanted to shout out. Guess it was an aight intro. I'm 19 turning 20 in November, African-American (Yes he has a couple of us listening lol), go to the University of Oregon (Portland, Oregon is where I reside). Nice to meet all of you and I'll be here for awhile.....hope to talk to ya soon. peace

Hello covell, I agree, there is something very special about Damien's music. Never really felt this way about any other musician, the only other music that ever came close was dire Straights. Used adore their stuff.
