well...i'll try and list wot i think the meaning is to as many of his songs i can...ok..here we go..

volcano - well, i've always thought it had to do with using a person...

blower's daughter - this ones easy...its about someone falling in luv with and becoming 'obsessed' (i guess) with a person.

cheers darlin - another easy one...about learning ur girl friend or boy friend is cheating on u

i remember - i've thought of this song from two persons differnt view one view (lisa part) is about falling in luv with some one...the 2nd (damos) is about how this person shes in luv with want's to kno if she's really in luv with him, or wanting to kno wot she has to say about him

i can't really think of anymore rite now..hope this kinda helps...

You are right about the surface of those songs professor, but damien is not trying to say my lover left me or my girl cheats on me. that would be in a new sappy country song. It really is never easy. That's why he uses the feeling, his emotions more than a situation. so everyone can relate. That's the beauty in his songs they are all about you too. What they are to him is not always what they are to you. Human emotions are a complex puzzle. damien puts it together nicely. if you have ever loved and lost he wrote a song just for you.

i wonder if in woman like a man, the line 'my love, eat your meat, keep your teeth' has any reference 2 his girlfriend having a problem with his vegetarianism......
