Well, O'Neills is actually closer to Vicar Street than the Pale, but I just don't think it's that nice a place. Small dingy place that's more for a few older locals and rarely sees visitors coming through.

I'd say for ease, go to The Clock. It's right across the road and has plenty of space to chat. Handels, further up the road, towards James Street, has the the nicest atmosphere though (not the one that's part of the hotel near Temple Bar, people confuse the two).

I just said O' Neills because it was the only one I could think of and its only about 5 doors from the venue and I needed somewhere to meet Jarv, Loveless and Weatherman to give them their tickets(guys if you are reading this and this thread results in the decision to go somewhere else then thats where I'll be instead).
