I suppose you mean the last 3 sentences.
It means that I should have talked to Damien earlier and that it´s difficult to decide what to believe if two people are having two completely different perceptions of a situation. In the end it was none of my business anyways, and I promised not to talk concretely about it, let´s just say this person was a "follower" and thought Damien might help to solve her problems. (Btw. we were only chatting because I recognised her from a concert in UK, the world is such a small place!)
But it was pretty weird.
