Default Introduction to the Frames

So, as with many people, I was introduced to the Frames by the beautiful movie Once. I bought all the songs off the soundtrack and the swell season album, and I've been listening to them over and over ever since. I saw the Swell Season live in Philly, and loved the few Frames songs they played, including "star , star" and their version of "say it to me now". I recently went on archive.org and randomly searched The frames and downloaded a few songs, and now I can't get enough of them. The songs "fitzcarraldo" and "santa maria" stick out as personal favorites, it seems like i've been listening to these two songs over and over for the past few days, and that is something I rarely do.

So, my question is, any suggestions of what albums I should buy to dive into their discography? Or any particular songs I should check out?

haha totally agree with Rue!!

but yeah Fitzcarraldo is just such a great song!! ... one of my personal faves!
their best live song, IMO, is Red Chord... magical!!!

and i'll recomend the St. James Chapel gig from 03 that bumpman uploaded
Its a very short but sweet setlist !! ... its got a great Red chord and awesome covers of Limerick town and Heyday!!! ....

here's the link :: http://www.eskimofriends.com/forum/s...=vyvienne+long

you'll find it on the first page! ... enjoy it!!!

For a quick introduction, I'd suggest their Fabchannel show. It's about 2 hours of pure bliss, really amazing. Made me dance.

Fitzcarraldo (song) included.

Fitzcarraldo, then Set List and when you have the feel of it, Burn the Maps, but don't forget The Cost
