ways to get Damiens live music

I know that there is an ip set up to ftp some of his music but the ip im trying to get into is virtually impossible to get into.

I tried the bit torrent things and its been running for a few days....

are theyre any other ways to get his live shows?

There are two ftp's: damienrice.serveftp.net and
24.193.247.136 (both use Damien : Rice for user/pass). Did oy try redialing? I've always been able to get on with some patience.

i guess im just not being patient with the servers but i havent been able to get on. It says that there are to many users logged on with that username.

i dont know if me using leechftp isproblem or not?

the question on a lot of people's minds is: how can i, a regular shmuck, get more music with my sh*tty modem and cheap ass ways? for you see, i like fast results with little or no effort because hard work is for other people, while free/easy damien rice concerts are for me. And oh what a potent question it is...

I think Mario's server allows four users at a time (don't know about the other one), so yes, they are busy a lot and the message you see pretty normal. The demand is very high. I don't think it's your ftp program. Just keep trying.

Ocasionally people offer B&P's and if you have problems with a torrent you should try to resolve them. Maybe the last one needs re-seeding and someone can do it for you.Edited by: Angela

This can be a problem if you're one of those .shn freaks. If you can't tell the difference, just find them .mp3 concerts which are just fine and easy/free for you

yeah, i'm sticking with trusty old .mp3, no newfangled .shn 'electrickery' type stuff for me, however (and i feel quite stupid saying this) i don't have a flippin' clue how to get on to the ftp server. in my schmuckedness i just used kazaa 'til now, however i now realise (thankfully) that kazaa is mostly sh*te.

You need ftp software to access an ftp server. You can actually do it through your browser, but it's horrendously slow and you have little control over what goes on.

Search google for "free ftp software" or a "free ftp client".

Has anyone else who uses a firewall had trouble getting onto 'damienrice.serveftp.net'?

I finally found myself entering the site but it said that it couldnt establish a connection because of my firewall, and told me to switch to passive mode. I'd already been in passive mode. i even tried shutting down my firewall, and still nothing.

I tried tweeking the firewall to listen on the ports that the ftpsite was trying to connect to, but i kept getting the same error.

I changed a few of the connection settings and now the onoly error im getting is : </font>

Resolving host name damienrice.serveftp.net...
Unknown error.
Connection closed.

I've probably been blocked now for some reason. Think i'll just have to stick to Mario's server!! From now on </font>
