see when lisa does the really high sorta screams ( they arent screams but i dont know the right word to use ) during cold water and delicate, is it just me or do your voices NEVER seem to get that high coz mines misses the highness every time i try !

i'm in a jealous mood now ! i got a kinda low voice, which i can get most high notes singing with, but delicate + cold water ...the big ahhhhaaaa's in it just lose me !!

breathing properly helps and how you place the note. If you make a yawn shape with your mouth it helps

It's ok pamela. Yeah i do. A womans voice isn't fully mature and atv its prime until between 30 and 35 so she still has a while to go until its at its best, so shes bound to mature

For a girl wid a husky voice, she dont half reach high notes.i dont know if u guys have ever heard of an awesome irish band called watercress(RIP 2001),now some of their members arein the band drat, we met there singer Dan Donnelly on numerous occasions, they used to play in our local, Connollys of Leap, in west cork. He had the most unreal voicerange, and a brilliantly coupled northern irish accent that he never tried to conceal.The owner of Connollys said thatdan got to that level of range/clarity and tune by focusing on high notes exclusively, getting them perfect through arduous practice and playback, and the result was unique, Drat are a great band, but without dan they are no watercress, even though they may prove to be more successful


sh*t, ising and play in a band, but if i could ever get near to that level of control, much like damien in blowers daughter/delicate, well that would be something.

lisa´s voice is amazingly beautiful, smoking does screw up some people´s voices alright but it doesn´t seem to have had much of an effect on hers yet. drinking loads of water and staying away from dairy is good for your voice too

if you smoke and want to quit and are having a hard time, the inhaler
is super helpful. i was (and am at times) still kind of connected to
the inhaler...but what i did was started taking the cartrage out at a
certain time of day...starting at 10pm, then 9, then 8....im only
20...ive been smoking since i was 12 (horrid, i know)...but this is the
first time i can go a whole day without an actual cigarette since i can
remember, its lovely...



im not trying to sound preachy .......but someone told me about it and
i tried it and its working out alright...i got mine on ebay for 18$,
ive only used two of the 18 cartrages in a month.....they last a long
time.



and to be a dork.....PS - lisa's voice makes me cry...she is an angel.

I dont know if she always does this in shows, but at bonnaroo she kept standing real far back from the mic and singi. i hought aybe it was the feedback but i dont know how much sense that makes sine we could still hear her voice.

sounds like the mic volume was loud and the general sound set up was really high at that gig. i love that, cause then you have much more to work with; you can go closer and whisper and go far from the mic and scream and it'll all be heard. (or she was just afraid to make it feeed, of course)


i've sung in loud rock bands a lot with bad mic sound qual, and even tho you scream you can only hear a slight squeek from the loudspeakers - very frustrating feeling![img]smileys/smiley7.gif[/img]

i think she looks a bit demented when she does it, not a bad thing though
