Hey All,

How are you on this Sunny (at least it is here) day?

I was wondering if Lisa Hannigan is going to (or maybe has already) release any stuff of her own? I've seen that she's done a few shows but does she do her own stuff?

Cheers

Herself and Damien have recorded a few songs for charity cds and soundtracks where she does the vocal, but she hasn't done any solo stuff... yet.

we really should ask her to record and release something. I'm sure that loads of peops would love to hear her sing in her angel voice.

I've only got the album and Woman LikeA Man EP so haven't heard anything else.

Her version of Silent Night really is quite special so hopefully we'll see more stuff from her in the future.

she sings on the soundtrack to Goldfish Memory, as well as backing vocals on a track on Mic Christopher's album "Skylarkin" and on a song on the new cd by a galway band named Lucas

I think it wouldn't be the same, if she would leave the band...Damien needs her and she needs him. This is what makes the band so fantastically.

And of course Vyv.

I agree with that, I will feel so bad if she leaves the band

I'll check those things out. Cheers.

She should definately stay in the band. It wouldn't be as good without her.

You might want to get the Union Chapel promo off eBay. it has three or four of Lisa's solos on it.

Gemma Hayes told a friend of mine that Lisa is writing her own stuff, so it's official.

I know, I know, nothing really new, but I thought i post this here, because maybe anyone is interested.

I mean that I think its inaccurate to saythat they were made for each other musically or otherwise. I've heard Lisa sing with Glen Hansard, Paul Noonen and Alan Gray (of Lucas) and shes been as good with them as she has been with Damien, her presence strengthens any song, she just has some amazingly strong material to work with when she's with him.

As for Damien, I'm sure he could have found another ridculously talented vocalist to work with had he not met her, they're ten a penny from what I understand.

Its a happy coincidence that they met, nothing more. To say that they were made for each other implies fate, and I don't believe in it.

The most amazing thing about Lisa is her understated presence at the concert and even performances. Iwas absolutely stunned by her backing vocals on Cheers Darling. If you hear carefully, you can hear her sing in the background in that song. It is so stunning!!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhh. She is an angel !

I think some solo LH is inevitable, she's obviously a creative musician. DR seems to bein control so far and it wouldn't surprise me if she wanted a break from that at some point in the futureto do her own stuff, maybe after album 2 and the tour that will go with it.

What I'm interested in is willshe will become a solo singer songwriter (as she plays guitar also)or will she assembe her own band??
