new album?

i was just wondering if anyone could let me know if and when the new damien album will be out. im sure this message will make me look stupid, as you will all either have known for ages and therefore it should be obvious, or no one will know and it will be rediculous to even expect a new album yet.

so, anyway....um...any news?

As far as we know Damien has it ready and would like it out now, but it's being held till late this year by the record company.

I don't understand the record company thing. I heard Damien say that on Tom Dunne but is it not his own record company, therefore should he not be able to decide? [img]smileys/smiley5.gif[/img]

nope, it used to be under his record company DRM, but now he's with Vector as far as I know.

he didn't want to do the record company stuff himself anymore, cause it was taking too much time and it's not really what he enjoys.

No artwork done yet, only a few songs recorded according to Lisa when I spoke to her in Whelan's towards the end of last month.

Vector is as far as I know only his US distributor and DRM is still in existance. He has another distributor in the UK and I'd assume in various other territories.

it isnt going to be released over here cos if it is the price will go down in america & so will the demand for O.... its about making money really at this stage...

No. He said something like he had them ready, but he didn't say "recorded". I always interpreted to mean that the unreleased songs he has are enough material to make another album or two, since he said himself he's only written one or two new songs since.....1985 or so [img]smileys/smiley2.gif[/img]
