Default Vyvienne Long in Whelans

Great gig! She did all the favourites and more! Atmosphere was amazing and she was amazing. Can't wait to see her live again!

Apologies, there were 3 other cellists just like at the BAM benifit gig and then there was Tomo and a pianist. Some of the songs were played with all four cellos then some just vyvienne and others vyvienne and one other cellists.

Anyway they played some of Vyvienne's own stuff and then they did Purple Haze, Summer in the City, Seven Nation Army, Bohemian Rhapsody, Come Together, Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots (Vyvienne played the piano) and an NERD song. She was really really good. The night flew by. I can't wait to see her again.

yeah, great gig.
of her own songs she played "indecision", "random man on the motorway" and "blue carousel". she played others too, but i can't remember the names.

Dave Geraghty from Bell-X1 played support. Most of his set was on piano and was mostly like a bland coldplay (it didn't help that he had his back to the crowd). he also played "Sweet Child O' Mine" by Guns N' Roses, which was excellent. A few good tunes on guitar too.

tomo (playing drums), shane, lisa and damien were all there too. shane, lisa and damien didn't perform. lisa was employed as candle-lighter for the evening.

Damien was at the bar as I was leaving about 10 minutes after the gig ended, Lisa was outside having a smoke/hanging with someone having a smoke.

Anyone else find the place overly hot? One girl fainted while Dave was on.

Well, I think he's okay..have the albums and it's nice background music..but the time I saw him live put me off seeing him live again...

And i didn't say I didn't like him...just saying he was small..love those eyebrowy cartoons with him in it

Vyvienne will be returning the favour to Dave when she opens for The Rotators in the TBMC next month. (Think it's the 12th).

Default Recordings?

Chimo,

Does anyone have any recordings of her performance? I'm very interested to hear more -- mostly because I love the cello, and Vyvienne's voice.

In return, I'll tell you a secret ...

Rick

Well she said "excuse me" to me, so I'd say I'd have to win
