Hi from Los Angeles

Hi all,

I was fortunate to hear Damien last year about two weeks before I left for a trip to Ireland. I bought his CD at the Tower Records in Dublin in September and have been a huge fan ever since.

I just saw Damien for the second time last Saturday night in Hollywood and - in spite of some major problems with the microphones which prompted Damien to ask for our patience while they dropped the curtain after the first three songs to fix things (and which apparently almost had him cancelling the show and refunding our money) - once again his live shows have proven to be incredibly moving and amazing.

His band is such an important part of that experience,and while Lisa Hannigan has gotten the bulk of notices not only for her incredible beauty and even more beautiful voice, Vyvienne (who is also very beautiful) and the rest of the band certainly make for a powerful night out.

I'm going to post a question in another forum about Damien's tour and when we might see a new album. Check it out if you want to put in your opinions.

at least youve seen him! the closest ive ever been to Damo has been through my monitor when i look at pics of shows.. :/ so even with the all technical probs, consider yourself lucky.

yea, that makes three Californians...hey there heyheyjk! I am from Anaheim (well really Stanton). Welcome to the site. Glad to have a fellow westcoaster here.
