Ok I meant to ask this ages ago, and jogged my memory reading the SBE gig review, but did anyone notice damo changed the lyrics from

he came back the other day, you know
some things in life may change
and some things they stay the same

to

he came back the other day
and swore his life had changed
but some things they stay the same

I just ask becuase I'm wondering if it was dodgy hearing on my part, or down to alcohol consumption or maybe both

he did something similar at Joe's Pub...I don't remember exactly what he'd changed them to, but I knew it when I heard it. Not sure why...but I think the overall meaning of the song/verse is the same.

like any performer of his type, he slightly changes lyrics quite a bit and at random times...

maybe he'll do a Bob Dylan one day and make up completely new lyrics while he's singing.

"And tell it like you still believe
That the end of the century
Brings a change for you and me and the Iraqi's
"
